About me

I qualified as a doctor from the University of London with distinction in 2003. I was appointed as a NHS consultant in General and Colorectal Surgery at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) in April 2017 where I am the colorectal cancer and anal cancer lead. UHCW is one of the largest and busiest teaching hospitals in the country. I currently practice all aspects of General, Emergency and Colorectal Surgery. I have a particular interest in robotic surgery. In addition I have specialist training in pelvic surgery. During my training, I had the opportunity to work in high volume units in the West Midlands which has given me a broad experience of laparoscopic surgery. This includes small and large bowel surgery, colonoscopy, all aspects of hernia repair, treatment of hemorrhoids and bowel disorders. I completed my training as a Colorectal Fellow at the world renowned Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

I also have an interest in benign pelvic floor disorders and have completed a MD thesis at a nationally renowned pelvic floor referral center at University College London Hospitals. This has given me a great understanding of bowel and pelvic floor disorders including constipation, incontinence, defecatory disorders and rectal prolapse
