Mr Zakir Shariff
Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic and Hand Surgeon
Mr Zakir Shariff is a highly experienced Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon with extensive expertise in reconstructive, hand, skin cancer and paediatric plastic surgery. He is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care, delivering the highest standards of treatment with a focus on achieving the best possible functional and aesthetic outcomes for every patient.
Mr Shariff graduated from Gulbarga University, India, before completing a Master of Surgery (MS) at Mysore Medical College. He went on to undertake specialist Plastic Surgery training across the Yorkshire Deanery and completed a prestigious Fellowship in Hand Surgery at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. He also holds a Diploma in Hand Surgery.
He is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, working across Bradford Royal Infirmary and Airedale General Hospital. In addition to his NHS practice, he consults privately at the Yorkshire Clinic and the Skin Surgery Clinic.
Mr Shariff is the Clinical Lead for Plastic Surgery, Hand Services and Skin Cancer Services (Dermatology) at Bradford Royal Infirmary. He has led service improvements, including introducing artificial intelligence (AI)-supported skin cancer assessment pathways at St Luke's Hospital, making Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust the first NHS trust in Yorkshire to implement this innovative technology for patients referred through the urgent skin cancer pathway. He was key in the opening of the Hand Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Known for his approachable manner and attention to detail, Mr Shariff works closely with each patient to develop an individualised treatment plan, ensuring they are fully informed and supported throughout their care.
