About me

Sirja (pronounced like the country Syria) originally comes from Germany, but has lived in the UK all her adult life. She is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in autism and ADHD. Sirja has been working with children and young people for over twenty years. She has worked in a range of private and NHS settings and most recently held the position of pathway lead in an NHS neuro-developmental service.

Sirja is passionate about enabling young people to live meaningful and fulfilled lives. She has a special interest in the assessment and support of young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties. Sirja also has extensive experience in working with children and young people affected by a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, including trauma, difficulties at school, within the family and friendship issues as well as anxiety and low mood.

Sirja understands the challenge families often face in finding the right support for a child or young person who is experiencing a difficult time. She believes that a trusting and positive relationship with the clinician offering this work is vital and welcomes contact from families or young people who would like to seek support, but may wish to discuss this first.
