About me
As Past-President of the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS) www.bomss.org.uk I am recognised as one of the leading bariatric surgeons in the UK. I am past Chair of the National Bariatric Surgery Registry (NBSR) and led the surgeon-level mortality data publication as part of 'Everyone Counts Promise 2' for the NHS in bariatric surgery from 2013-16. I wrote the 2nd NBSR Report in 2014. I am an hon Reader in Bariatric Surgery in Bristol University.
I also have a wide practice in benign laparoscopic upper GI surgery including hernia surgery (groin hernias), cholecystectomy (gallbladder surgery) and operations for hiatus hernia / reflux (fundoplication).
