About me
I have been a Consultant General and Gastro-intestinal Surgeon for 26 years. I specialise in Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) Surgery and I have extensive experience of laparoscopic (keyhole) techniques.
My special interests include:
- Surgery for gallstone disease (cholecystectomy).
- Investigation of indigestion / upper abdominal pain including performance of gastroscopy (UGI endoscopy, OGD)
- Hernia surgery, both laparoscopic and open, including surgery for inguinal, femoral, umbilical and ventral hernias.
- Surgery in young people (16 years and over) eg herniotomy, cholecystectomy.
- Skin and subcutaneous lump excision.
I participate in providing Surgical Education for Surgical Trainees and I am an Appraiser for Surgical Colleagues.
