About me

I have been a Consultant Ophthalmologist at University Hospital Southampton (UHS) since 2015. My special interests are medical retina including macular degeneration, diabetes and vein occlusion and small incision sutureless cataract surgery.

After completing a further year in a dedicated center for surgical and medical retina in Trapani, Italy, I moved to the UK in 2005. I worked for 10 years at Consultant-level at Kingston Hospital, contributing to the design, set up and management of one of the first AMD services in UK and responsible for the Imaging diagnostic area. At UHS I am also the Lead for the Intravitreal Treatment Service and the Medical Retina Mobile Unit. I am Clinical Governance Lead and Appraiser.
