About me

PLEASE NOTE I AM UNABLE TO ACCEPT ANY NEW REFERRALS AT THIS TIME.

I originally trained as a Registered General Nurse and a Registered Mental Health nurse and worked in the NHS for over 30years.
I qualified as a CBT therapist in 2011 and Practice both in the NHS and privately. I am fully accredited with the BABCP, which means I have a requirement to keep up to date with training and developments within the field of CBT. CBT is an evidence based treatment for depresssion, anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, PTSD , low self esteem , phobias and health anxiety.

I also offer compassion focused therapy which works particularly well with low self esteem and depression.

I am also trained in EMDR practitioner Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) which is an evidence based treatment for trauma.

I am only able to offer remote sessions at this time via MS Teams . A lot of people find this very convenient however , as it can fit in more easily with working and means no travelling time, parking issues etc.

I enjoy working with people who suffer with a range of disorders , such as depression, low self esteem, PTSD, generalised anxiety, OCD, panic and other anxiety disorders.

Areas of interest

Depression; Generalised Anxiety Disorder; PTSD; Phobias; OCD; Panic Disorder; Health Anxiety, Low self Esteem; Social Anxiety.
