About me

We all reach points in life where we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or far from ourselves. Whether you're navigating a crisis, processing loss, facing long-standing patterns, or simply sensing a quiet ache for something more, you don't have to do it alone.

I offer one-to-one counselling for adults and adolescents that creates space for you to meet yourself with honesty, care, and compassion. My approach is relational, trauma-aware, and rooted in the belief that healing arises when we feel safe enough to tell the truth of our experienceand be received with presence and warmth.

I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor with many years of experience supporting people through life's transitions and challenges. My own journey has been shaped by complex grief, cancer, recovery from childhood wounds (including Boarding School Syndrome), and an ongoing commitment to embodiment, integrity, and self-trust.

Alongside traditional talk therapy, I bring in threads from mindfulness, body-based awareness, and creativity. I also work with themes around sexuality, identity, and conscious relating, holding space for those exploring non-traditional paths or simply longing for more authentic connection.

I see counselling as an act of rememberingwho we are beneath the armour, the stories, and the survival strategies. My role is not to fix or advise, but to walk with you, offering a grounded, attuned presence as you reconnect with your own wisdom.

A Space to Be:

My practice, Space to Be, reflects what I aim to offer: a gentle, non-clinical environment where you can soften, explore, and come home to yourself. It's a space that welcomes the messy, tender, and unspoken parts of youand honours your pacing.

SUPPORT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE age 13 25:

The journey through adolescence and early adulthood can be intense, beautiful, and often overwhelming. For many young people, this is a time of profound change emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually as they begin to shape a sense of identity, purpose, and belonging in the world.

Counselling offers a space where young people can slow down, explore what they're feeling, and begin to make sense of their experience away from the pressures of school, family dynamics, or social expectations. Sometimes just having a consistent, trusted adult who listens without judgment can be deeply healing in itself.

How I Work:

My approach is warm, creative, and grounded in respect for each young person's inner world. I work relationally which means I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work and draw on a broad range of tools to meet each person's unique needs and way of expressing themselves.

Sessions might include:

Talking therapy (Person-Centred and trauma-informed)

Drawing and creative expression (especially helpful when words are hard to find)

Mindfulness and body-based practices to support regulation, grounding and self-trust

Psychoeducation to help understand emotions, anxiety, or trauma responses

CBT and ACT-informed strategies for managing difficult thoughts and behaviours

Above all, I offer a safe, accepting space where young people can be themselves, explore what matters to them, and develop the tools to navigate life with more confidence and self-awareness.

I work with young people aged 13 and upwards including those in the important transitional years of emerging adulthood (1825) and I'm deeply committed to creating an affirming space for neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and sensitive or highly empathic teens and young adults.

For Parents and Caregivers:

If your teenager is struggling, it can feel incredibly hard to know how to help. Please know you're not alone. I aim to offer a steady, compassionate presence for both the young person and the wider family and I'm happy to offer an initial call to discuss your concerns, what counselling might look like, and how best to support your child.
