About me
I have over 18 years’ experience in the assessment and treatment of mental illness and psychological problems. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych). I have a Dual Certificate of Completion of training in General Adult Psychiatry and also in Addictions Psychiatry in the UK. I am on the Specialist register of the General Medical Council. Following my basic medical Qualification (MBBS) I completed a post graduate qualification in psychiatry (MD), Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry in Leeds and a Postgraduate qualification in Health and Social care education from the Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford.
Areas of interest
I am an expert in the assessment and treatment of mentally ill patients in Specialist/ Secondary Mental Health Services presenting with a wide range of mental illnesses ranging from Schizophrenia, other psychotic disorders, mood disorders such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, Panic Disorder, phobias, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, other anxiety disorders, Alcohol and illicit drug use, Adjustment Disorder, PTSD, Bereavement and Grief, Anorexia Nervosia, Bulimia, other eating disorders, Personality Disorders, Impulse Control Disorders, Gender Identity Disorder, Autism, Asperger's Disorder and ADHD.
