About me
[I am currently on maternity leave and Yvonne Yum Dietitian will be closed until Summer 2020. I will only be checking my email occasionally.]
Since obtaining Distinction in my Postgraduate Nutrition and Dietetic Degree, I began my career as a Generalist Dietitian at an acute hospital in London in 2013, managing a clinical caseload in elderly, cardiology and medical wards, as well as a general adult outpatient clinic. Over the years I have also worked as a Catering Dietitian for Interserve where I analysed and helped designing hospital menus, as well as training the catering team about various aspects of nutrition. I became a Gastroenterology Specialist Dietitian in 2015 at an acute hospital in Kent. I have a particular interest in gastrointestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, coeliac disease, liver disease and pancreatitis. I also have extensive experience with complex advanced feeding such as parenteral nutrition, enteral nutrition and fistulocylsis (distal bowel feeding). I began my journey as a Freelance Dietitian in 2015 and successfully set up my private practice in 2017. I am passionate about sharing my nutritional knowledge and translating this into practical advice. I have a professional, friendly approach and always put myself in my clients' shoes by tailoring dietary advice to the clients' lifestyle and needs. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and baking, creating fun recipes that are suitable for many diet types.
