About me

I am Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years' experience in both NHS and private practice. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from Royal Holloway. I am a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registrant of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

People come to me for help with a wide range of difficulties. You might be struggling with anxiety, low mood, OCD or insomnia. You may be dealing with stress or difficult life events and finding that your usual ways of coping are no longer enough. You may be experiencing longstanding difficulties in your relationships, low self-esteem, problematic patterns of behaviour you find hard to change or struggling with the lasting effects of traumatic experiences.

Deciding to ask for help takes courage, and for many people it follows a long period of managing alone, wondering if things are bad enough to warrant support, or worrying about what therapy will actually involve. If any of that resonates, you are not alone in feeling that way, and it is exactly the kind of thing we can talk about from the start.

I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent adults, including autistic adults and adults with ADHD and dyslexia. I understand that seeking help can feel particularly daunting when previous experiences, in healthcare, education, or elsewhere, have left you feeling misunderstood or unheard. I offer therapy that is flexible and adapted to different ways of thinking and experiencing the world, and work to create a space that feels respectful and validating.

I take time to develop a thorough understanding of what has brought you to therapy, not just your symptoms but the broader context of your background, experience, culture and identity. Drawing on a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, I work with you to tailor therapy to your needs and goals.

My other specialist interests include supporting clients through the challenges of perimenopause and menopause, and working with people who struggle with harsh internal standards and self-criticism.
