About me
I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and EMDR Practitioner, holding a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling from the University of Central Florida.
For the past 17 years, my work has been dedicated to helping my clients heal and grow from issues related to the past so that they can live more fulfilling lives in the present. I have worked with a vast range of individuals on their journeys of growth and self-discovery. In addition, In addition, I have worked extensively with first responders including military veterans, police officers, paramedics, and prison officers giving me a deep understanding of the stressors unique to the these communities.
I have extensive training and experience in the assessment and treatment of a range of psychological disorders, with a particular focus on anxiety, depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, problems caused by adverse childhood experiences including low self esteem, relationship difficulties, and emotional dysregulation.
I draw from a wide range of theories and modalities based on the needs of the individual and the nature of the presenting problem including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, and somatic psychology.
I believe we are all endowed with the innate capacity to heal from emotional pain. I am committed to working alongside my clients and guiding them towards understanding, integration, and wholeness, while creating a strong therapeutic relationship that is grounded in compassion, honesty, and trust that is essential to the healing process.
