About me

Mr Robinson is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in shoulder injuries and other related problems

After qualifying from Downing College, Cambridge and Kings College Hospital, London he did his basic surgical training in and around London before moving to the Midlands.

Mr Robinson carried out his specialist Orthopaedic training at the world famous Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, Shropshire. Training was further enhanced with a specialist Fellowship at the Droitwich Knee Clinic.

After taking up the appointment as a Consultant in Worcester in 1995, he decided to continue with specialist practice in knee surgery and to develop shoulder surgery in the Worcester area. He was a Partner in the Droitwich Knee Clinic for 19 years. The interest in shoulder surgery was founded during his training in Stoke and Oswestry. His commitment to lifelong learning and remaining abreast and up-to-date in changes in practice remains as strong as ever, this is achieved by attending courses and other centres both in the UK and abroad .

Along with a very keen interest in all sports; in particular rugby, cricket, (although these days it is as a spectator rather than a participant) golf, cycling skiing and horse riding, Mr Robinson has a sympathetic approach to listening and dealing with individual patients’ related problems.

Recovery and return to normal daily activities is aided with the full support of the Spire Hospital & Clinic Teams providing assessment, on an individual basis, to ensure that patients receive the best possible course of action and treatment to resume their chosen recreational activity however challenging it may be!
