Double fellowship trained. Additional combined clinical and research fellowship at the internationally renowned Foot and Ankle Institute, Baltimore, USA under Dr Mark Myerson.

Consultant at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, a national and International centre of excellence dealing with complex cases that have been referred from centres all over the United Kingdom.

Work closely with radiologists, physiotherapists, podiatrists, chiropodists, specialist nurses, orthotics and anaesthetists to provide optimum care to patients.

Research and teaching recognised both nationally and internationally.

On the British and European Foot and Ankle Society Committees.

Research interests

Mr Welck has a keen interest in research and is an Honorary Associate Professor UCL.
He achieved a distinction in both an undergraduate BSc and a postgraduate MSc.
He has numerous peer reviewed publications and international and national podium presentations of his work.
His research interests include the use of novel weight bearing CT scanning to help treat conditions of the foot and ankle. He has setup one of the largest databases in the UK.
He is currently involved in setting up numerous trials related to improving outcomes in foot and ankle surgery.
