About me
Mr Machin is a Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Foot & Ankle surgery.
His NHS practice is at The Countess of Chester Hospital since May 2023 having previously worked at Mid-Cheshire Hospitals for 9 years as a Foot & Ankle Consultant and in various leadership roles including 3 years as the Associate Medical Director for Surgery & Cancer.
He offers private practice consultations and surgery at the Grosvenor Hospital Chester and Spire Yale Wrexham and also consults at the Spire's Abergele rooms and The Grange Clinic Chester.
Mr Machin concluded his orthopaedic training in an internationally recognised higher surgical training fellowship at Wirral University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, during this fellowship he received advanced training in the management of complex elective, revision and trauma foot and ankle conditions.
Prior to this he completed six years of specialist orthopaedic training in the Mersey Deanery, rotating through many of the local hospitals, including the regional trauma centres. This followed on from his core surgical training after qualifying with Honours from The University of Liverpool School of Medicine in 2003.
