Professor R Persad
A National Leader in treatment of urological cancers and in Andrology. Proficient in robotic and minimally invasive urological surgery. Member of National committees including NICE, BAUS and UK Prostate Cancer Audit
Engaged in busy NHS service delivery but also a Clinician Scientist with a team of clinical researchers in Cancer and novel treatments. Passion includes accurate and early diagnosis and characterisation of prostate cancer using modern MRI and transperineal biopsy techniques and MRI fusion biopsy.
Experienced in robotic surgery for prostate cancer and focal HIFU. Also experienced in minimally invasive techniques for BPH (eg Urolift, REZUM and Green Light laser).
An experienced Andrologist in treatments for Erectile Failure and Peyronie's disease including penile prosthesis implantation
