About me
I am a consultant dermatologist with my main NHS base at the Royal London Hospital where I see patients of all ages (adults and children) with skin problems. I am the paediatric dermatology lead clinician, lead a hidradenitis suppurativa service, lead the male genital dermatosis service and carry out clinics on all aspects of dermatology, including skin cancer assessment and skin surgery. I also lead a multidisciplinary clinic for male genital dermatology at Watford General Hospital.
My career started with initial training in general practice, learning to help my patients holistically, treating both the illness as well as the impact it has on my patients. However, during my time as a GP, I developed a special interest in dermatology, which was further developed by completing my Diploma in Practical Dermatology through Cardiff University. I therefore retrained in dermatology, securing a National Training Number in London.
I am a member of the BAD Therapeutics and Guidelines Committee, Chair of the Access to Medicines Group and am Honorary Secretary of the British Association of Dermatologists.
