About me

About me:

I am a person centred counsellor working in Edinburgh.

Sometimes it isn't easy to talk about how we're feeling, even with people we feel close to. As a therapist, I am guided by what matters to you, and offer a warm, empathic and accepting space to work things through. I will not give you advice or judge you but will be by your side as you explore your experiences and help you to make changes, if that's what you want to do.

People come to therapy for lots of different reasons. Talking with someone trained to listen sensitively and empathically can be helpful if you are struggling and provides a supportive and confidential space to work through whatever is causing you difficulty or distress right now. You do not have to be in crisis, or on the verge of one, before choosing to have counselling. You may be seeking greater balance or understanding in your life.

Therapy is not one size fits all - every individual is unique, and our work together would reflect that. Therapy can be short-term or long-term, depending on what you need. Some people come for a few sessions to work through something specific, while others want longer-term support. Sessions take the form of a conversation to explore your experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and help you to understand yourself and your situation better. I work collaboratively so our work would go at your pace and be led by your needs.
