About me

I have worked as a Consultant Urological Surgeon over 30 years. I qualified from St Mary's Hospital, London in 1983 and subsequently trained in general surgery, renal transplantation and urology in London and�Bristol, finally becoming a consultant�in 1994. I have a career long interest in prostate disease, including prostate cancer. I have a Master of Surgery (MS) relating to prostate cancer research and have published a large number of peer reviewed paper on a range of urology topics. I have written / co-written books of urological interest.

Over the years I have been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (including Division of Oncology) and a member of Mensa. I have served as MRCS examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), regional training program director for urological training (East Anglia), was as an undergraduate examiner for both�Cambridge and London Universities, acted as college rep for the Royal College of Surgeons (England)�and also worked for national bodies such as�NICE and�as an Urology Advisor the UK�Health Service Ombudsman.
