About me
Dr Mehdi Mirzazadeh has been working as a consultant in Metabolic Medicine since 2013.He is the clinical lead for Metabolic Bone Disease in Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS trust and an honorary senior lecturer in St Georges University of London. He completed his training in Oxford with collaborative subspecialty training in Cambridge and UCLH. He has expertise in managing patients with metabolic bone disorders like osteoporosis, recurrent kidney stones and high cholesterol and triglycerides especially those patients with genetic disorders of metabolism, and those who do not tolerate standard therapies and would need novel biological agents with personalised approach. He is an assessor in the national clinical biochemistry quality assurance services which involves interpretation of blood tests related to calcium and sodium metabolism and vitamin deficiencies including vitamin D and hormones. He is the director for South West Thames Newborn Screening Services in London.
