About me
I am an experienced Accredited member of the BACP, qualifying as an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in 2009. In addition to my private practice I work for an organisation providing counselling for NHS referred patients and also a Government funded counselling for victims of serious crime.
I completed EMDR (trauma) training in 2010.
I am GDPR compliant and fully insured.
I am qualified to work with children and young people and this enhances my work with adults who may have family difficulties.
I have delivered Mindfulness training to counselling clients and can offer this, along with stress reduction and relaxation methods where appropriate.
I work at two venues in North Yorkshire, one in Kirkbymoorside and one in Malton. Both are easy to access and provide comfortable surroundings for effective therapy.
Our first session will give me the opportunity to hear in more depth about you and what it is that is bringing you to counselling at this time.
A minimum of 6 sessions is recommended for counselling to work well.
Where emotional difficulties are deep rooted and may have begun many years ago, perhaps in childhood, then a longer period of counselling may be beneficial.
