About me

I studied Medicine at the University of Nottingham Medical School.

After training in Paediatrics at Brighton, Chichester, Chertsey and Kings College Hospitals, I specialised in Diabetes and Endocrinology at St Georges and Great Ormond Street Hospitals.

I was appointed as Consultant Paediatrician at Ashford and St Peters Hospitals NHS Trust in 2004 where I am the Lead for Paediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology.

As well as my clinical and managerial roles I am an Educational and Clinical Supervisor for medical students and trainee doctors.

I am a founding committee member of the Association of Childhood Diabetes Clinicians and a member of the British Society of Paediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology. I am also co-chair of the South East Coast Network for Paediatric Diabetes.

I have clinical expertise in a wide range of General Paediatric conditions and a special interest in all types of Childhood Diabetes as well as Endocrine disorders. These include disorders of growth, puberty and the thyroid.
