About me

I was studied and trained my post graduate medicine in Scandinavia before moving to the UK where I have been on the specialist GMC register as a Consultant since 2008.

I spent a number of years working and training in many different hospitals around the UK to build on my knowledge and professional experience, mainly my Haematology posts at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Hammersmith Hospital in London and at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.

In January 2015 I began working as a Consultant in Haematology at Bedford Hospital where I am now the Lead Consultant for the haematology services. Furthermore I act as Chair of the Haemostasis and Thrombosis committee and I am the Lead of the anti-coagulation clinic and MDT meetings with Addenbrookes Hospital. I am also Principal Investigator on two national and international research projects.

I received July 2019 the Clinical Excellency Award.

I have experience in all aspects of malignant and non-malignant haematology which include but are not limited to: myeloma, lymphoma, all types of leukaemia, MPN diseases, red cell disorders, all kinds of Venus thromboembolism (VTE) and their management including new anticoagulant drugs. I am very considered in my approach to providing care and treatment for my patients and will always work in a way that maintains utmost dignity, confidentiality and quality care.

Haemoglobinopathies ; myeloma and all malignant blood and bone marrow diseases ; General Haematology and all benign blood disorders including anaemia investigations ; Venous Thromboembolism including DVT, PE, and all anticoagulant drugs ; ITP , haemolysis and related diseases.
