About me
Mr Raghbir Khakha is an internationally recognised Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in all aspects of knee surgery including paediatrics and adult surgery. He routinely consults patients for sports related injuries, trauma, early arthritis, joint replacement and second opinions for complex knee conditions. His elective practice focuses on just the knee, something which he regularly hosts visiting surgeons and fellow who want to learn modern techniques.
Mr Khakha is based at Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals, one of the largest teaching hospitals in Central London, where he is the lead Trauma Clinician. Raghbir enjoys educating future surgeons and has been actively involved with the surgical societies at King College Medical School where he is the Patron for the Orthopaedic Society. He has recently been appointed as the co-scientific chair for the largest international knee meeting. He is actively involved with research and national portfolio studies as well as organising regional scientific meetings.
Mr Khakha has a passion for pushing the frontiers of knee surgery and striving to provide the best options for his patients. He is a caring, conscientious doctor, who places the care of his patients front and centre of his focus.
Having graduated from St Georges Hospital Medical School, he went on to complete a BSc and MSc in Trauma and Orthopaedics. Mr Khakha sits on National, European and International governing bodies in knee surgery. He regularly publishes in peer reviewed journals and is invited around the world to demonstrate surgical techniques in ligament and joint preservation surgery.
Mr Khakha is passionate about sport having competed internationally in karate and continues these interests through his children's sporting endeavours. He is the chair of governors at the local comprehensive primary school he attended, something he is very passionate about.
