About me

I am a clinical psychologist with expertise in treating anxiety disorders using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I specialise in treating obsessive compulsive disorder, emetophobia (vomit phobia) and other phobias, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder and generalised anxiety disorder. I am particularly interested in developing new treatments for emetophobia. I use my in-depth knowledge of anxiety disorders and extensive experience in CBT to support those I work with to bring change to their lives, even if they have struggled with anxiety for many years.

I have been a qualified clinical psychologist for sixteen years and have worked within adult mental health services for twenty five years. I worked as a principal clinical psychologist at the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma in London, a highly specialist NHS service for the treatment of anxiety disorders and PTSD before moving into private practice. I train and supervise other qualified and trainee therapists and also work on the Post Graduate Diploma in CBT at Kings College London.

I completed my masters and doctorate degrees at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, Kings College London, IoPPN. I have completed further specialist training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, also at the IoPPN. I am accredited with the BABCP, both as a therapist and a supervisor, reflecting my clinical skill and commitment to attending regular supervision and continued training.

My work is based on my strong belief in the power of CBT to bring about lasting and meaningful changes to people's lives. I am a compassionate, warm and collaborative psychologist who aims not only to achieve a reduction in symptoms in those I treat, but also to help people move towards their goals and a more positive future.
