Mr Lascaratos completed the South Thames surgical training programme in ophthalmology in London and the highly sought-after subspecialty glaucoma fellowship programme at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He was the Clinical Lead for the ophthalmology urgent referral service at King’s College Hospital for several years and has extensive experience in Ophthalmology.

Driven by his passion for translational clinical research that can benefit patients, Mr Lascaratos is currently the co-Chief Investigator for a large multicentre randomised clinical trial on the role of nicotinamide to improve mitochondrial function and delay glaucoma progression (NAMinG trial) funded by a prestigious and highly competitive £2.0mil NIHR Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation (EME) Programme grant.
