About me

Nuria Bara-Carril is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in mental health. With over 18 years of experience within the NHS including two years as the Clinical Lead for Ealing Adult Mental Health Services, she has also provided training and clinical supervision to psychologists and other mental health professionals.

In addition to her clinical training, Nuria has completed an MSc in Health Psychology at City University and a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London.

Nuria is skilled in helping adults address mild to severe psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, and OCD. She can also help those with concerns around stress, relationships, challenging life events, loss, adjustment to illness, low self-esteem, and unresolved childhood issues.

Since becoming a mother, Nuria has developed a specific interest in working with maternal mental health and wellbeing. She frequently supports parents as they navigate the new demands, change in role and stresses that come with pregnancy and parenthood.

Nuria has extensive experience in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and other approaches based on CBT, such as Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Behavioural Family Therapy. Her training as a clinical psychologist means that she can also draw upon psychological theory and integrate a range of other therapeutic models (e.g., systemic, narrative, motivational).

Nuria is a Chartered Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS). She is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and is on the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors.

Nuria can offer individual, group and family interventions in English, Spanish and Catalan.
