About me

I am interested in learning about the complexities of the human mind and understanding how ineffective ways of responding to our painful psychological content drive human behaviour and lead to psychological suffering. I believe that learning to respond to our psychological pain and distress in more flexible ways can free us from our suffering and help us live a happier, and a more meaningful and fulfilling life. I specialise in EMDR and ACT-focused behavioural therapy. Regardless of the style of therapy, I focus on helping my clients to identify the main problems causing their distress, in order to work through them, move towards change and acceptance, and achieve their goals in therapy.
My style is based on pluralistic, humanistic, and relational approaches to therapy and counselling. I see every person as a unique individual and tailor the treatment protocol to that individual's specific needs, while drawing on a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic theories and techniques. I am heavily influenced by mindfulness and the significance of context in understanding human behaviour and promoting mental health.
