About me
Dr William Tillett is an Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist and Clinical Lead at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (RNHRD), Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath. His work focuses on precision care in psoriatic arthritis�integrating clinical, radiographic, and patient-reported assessments to enable earlier detection and smarter treatment strategies. As of March 2026, he has published >400 manuscripts, book chapters or conference proceedings, h-index 35, i10-index 78 and 4782 citations.
He is Chief Investigator for a portfolio of clinical and commercial studies, including the Bath Psoriatic Arthritis Biobank, and has helped design and deliver multiple Phase III�IV drug-development and treatment-strategy trials. Dr Tillett chairs the British Psoriatic Arthritis Consortium (BritPACT), serves on the GRAPPA steering committee, and chairs the peripheral-arthritis domain for the 2025 GRAPPA treatment-recommendations update. He co-chaired the 2023 BSR PsA biologics guidelines, is European chair of the OMERACT PsA working group, sits on the Journal of Rheumatology editorial board, and served on the EULAR taskforce to strengthen meaningful patient involvement. He is a medical advisor to several charities including the Psoriasis Association and Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Association
