About me
I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist working with Children and Families. My main model of working is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) but I also draw on both family therapy and psychotherapy models. I work with children and young people who are experiencing difficulties with: phobias; anxieties; obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); emotional and mood difficulties; sleep difficulties. I also work with parents and families on: behaviour management; parent-child relationship difficulties; relationships within foster and adoptive families. I can offer advice and consultation to parents, teachers and other professionals as well as ongoing therapeutic work with children and/or their parents.
I am registered with the Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist and I am a member of the British Psychological Society. Since qualifying in 2002 I have spent time working in the NHS within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and within Social Care, specifically with looked after children and their foster carers. I have also lived and worked voluntarily abroad mainly with young people struggling with the complexity of living cross-culturally.
