About me

I feel passionate about the role counselling and psychotherapy can play in our lives and I enjoy supporting my clients through the breadth of life's challenges.

I am a fully qualified, experienced, BACP Accredited Counsellor helping individuals and couples with their mental health, relationships and wellbeing. I have been a counsellor since 2006 and with Bupa for over 7 years.

I have worked in a variety of settings, including a GP Practice, a large counselling organisation, a bereavement service, work place counselling services and my private practice where I will be pleased to see you.

My working life started in human resources, where after several years, I achieved Chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Over the next 15 years I enjoyed roles supporting people experiencing difficulties at work, either through work-related issues, stress, home life or ill health.

It seemed a natural step to get involved at a deeper level with supporting individuals and I commenced training as a counsellor.

I have experience in helping a range of people improve their outlook, wellbeing and relationships, in particular I have experience with:
• anxiety
• depression
• relationships
• communication
• low self-esteem
• low mood
• bullying
• bereavement and loss
• destructive behaviours
• ill health concerns
• anger management
• work related issues
• stress
• career changes

In our sessions I will really listen to you and help you to make sense of how things are for you. With a supportive and attentive approach, I will help you work through your difficulties and towards solutions that are right for you.

I mainly see clients online over Zoom and I have undertaken thorough training in effective online therapy. I believe it can be as effective as meeting face to face. However, if online sessions are not for you then we can arrange to meet in person.
