About me

Hi, my name is Barbara Paczkowska, I pride myself at being an experienced and qualified psychologist and psychotherapist, I am currently a Consultant level EMDR UK & Europe psychotherapist and Supervisor as well as a fully accredited CBT therapist with the BABCP. My therapeutic journey began in the NHS, where I excelled in a previous role as a hi-intensity Cognitive-Behavioural Therapist. Today, I proudly serve as the founder and clinical director of 'Select Healthy Mind,' my own privately-based psychotherapy clinic in Windsor & Eton.

Although, equipped to treat a whole range of psychological presentations, my true expertise and passion lies in the specialized treatment of trauma, whether that be complex/multiple trauma (C-PTSD), single trauma (PTSD), developmental trauma stemming from childhood adversity, or attachment-based relational trauma. As a dedicated and recognized EMDR Europe Consultant, my focus is on delivering high-quality, personalized therapeutic interventions to address the nuanced needs of individuals grappling with their own unique and individual concerns.

At my clinic 'Select Healthy Mind,' we prioritize face-to-face consultations but can also offer therapy remotely via video call. Our ethos is in tailoring therapy sessions to each individual's distinct personality and requirements. My commitment and goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel acknowledged, heard, and most importantly supported. Recognizing the uniqueness of each person, I integrate various therapeutic models, drawing on my extensive and ongoing training, to ensure a personalized approach that fosters healing and personal growth.

Transitioning from my impactful work in the NHS to establishing 'Select Healthy Mind,' I bring a wealth of experience and true dedication to the field of psychotherapy. It's my passion to guide individuals through their healing journey, offering a comprehensive range of therapeutic services and making a real 'positive' difference to people's lives.
