About me
Mr Matt Ives was born and educated in Hertfordshire. He attended Guy's, Kings and St Thomas's School of Medicine where he gained a batchelors in immunobiology and pathology at the same time as his medical degree. Following basic surgical training on the south coast he undertook his plastic surgery training at various centres in and around London, including the world famous plastic surgery centres at East Grinstead and the St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns in Chelmsford. He has undertaken a hand surgery fellowship at St Andrews and following an extremity reconstruction fellowship at the Major Trauma Centre at St Mary's he became a consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
Mr Ives has specialised clinical interest and expertise in lower limb trauma and reconstruction, including complex limb salvage, elective hand surgery, complex hand trauma surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, complex and large wounds (acute and chronic), pelvic reconstruction and soft tissue reconstruction throughout the body.
