About me

As a Clinical Psychologist, I use a range of therapy techniques so that the therapy fits your unique needs. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), “third-wave” Cognitive approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT) as well as trauma-focused approaches, in particular Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Most importantly, both you as the client and I must feel that we can work together and trust one another in this process of healing and change. Seeing a psychologist for the first time may initially feel stressful or worrying. For this reason, when you initially make contact we can have a telephone conversation to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. This is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have and for us both to discuss your preferences together. If it feels right, we can then agree a time to begin our sessions.
