About me
Dr Waseem Bakkour is a senior Consultant Dermatologist, Dermatological, Laser and Cosmetic Surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of the UK (FRCP). He worked as a Consultant Dermatologist for many years in one of central London's most prestigious university hospitals (UCL) where he was in charge of skin cancer screening and privately on world renowned Harley Street where he was a leading expert in skin cancer and advanced dermatological surgery (Mohs), in addition to lasers and aesthetic dermatology and his colleagues frequently trusted him and referred their patients for his opinion. He also has extensive experience in general dermatology.
Dr Bakkour trained in Dermatology at a large tertiary excellence centre in Manchester, UK where he attained his CCT (certificate of completion of training) in Dermatology. He followed this by an 18 month Royal College approved fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, lasers and aesthetic dermatology with further training at the world renowned John Hopkins hospital, USA. After working in central London for many years, he decided to split his time between Dubai (for family reasons) and London.
In Dubai he worked as the director of Dermatology at one of the largest hospitals in the region (The
American Hospital) and at the prestigious skin experts clinic. This helped him broaden his experience, particularly in the field of advanced aesthetic dermatology.
Dr Bakkour is an active member of the British Association of Dermatology and the British Society of Dermatological Surgery. He has been involved in research and published many books and articles and presented his work at international meetings. He has also trained many dermatologists in the UK and continues to be active in training the next generation of dermatologists.
His aim is to provide the best personalised care to his patients.
