About me

Dr Shah is a highly experienced Consultant Rheumatologist at The Wilmslow Hospital, Cheshire and has a nationally recognized award- winning NHS service in Trafford District, Manchester Foundation Trust. Her professionalism, astute clinical skills combined with her ability to put patients at ease and listen carefully to their concerns makes Dr Shah particularly popular. She works closely with medical colleagues in primary and secondary care and allied health professionals, such as physiotherapists to provide a truly holistic treatment package.
Dr Shah completed undergraduate training in Nottingham University before undertaking her specialist training in the North West. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, an additional Masters in Rheumatology and completed a certificate and fellowship in Medical Educational Research . She has senior medical educational roles as Associate Dean for Undergraduates and Associate Foundation Programme Director in the NHS Trust. She is an senior honorary lecturer at The University of Manchester.
Early diagnosis and treatment is paramount to better outcomes in all types of inflammatory disorders within Rheumatology. Dr Shah esnures that patients are diagnosed and treated rapidly and then secured on to the appropriate, individualized treatment pathway.
