About me
I am a colorectal surgeon in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
I frequently treat patients who are having problems controlling their bowels, either rushing to the toilet or having difficult going to the toilet.
This often occurs after childbirth ,the menopause or after surgery or radiotherapy for conditions such as cancer.
I trained in Cardiff, before working in London, where I completed my research MD in Imperial College, focusing on the outcomes after pelvic surgery in women. After completing my surgical training, I worked in Oxford, where I completed a specialist fellowship in pelvic floor surgery.
I have research interests in anterior resection syndromes (bowel dysfunction after rectal cancer surgery) with international and national presentations and publications.
Areas of interest
Colorectal Cancer; pelvic floor; rectal prolapse; faecal incontinence; constipation; bowel dysfunction; Haemorrhoids
