About me
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). I have six years of experience working in the NHS in both primary and secondary care.
I offer face-to-face therapy to adults and adolescents with mental health difficulties, and couples experiencing relationship difficulties or marital discord.
I mainly work from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) perspective but am greatly influenced by Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
Before working as a Counselling Psychologist I trained and worked as an Occupational Psychologist concentrating mainly on stress reduction, creating an optimal work-life balance and psychometric testing in several organizations. In addition, I was a part-time lecturer in Organisational Psychology at the Greenwich School of Management for several years on their Bachelor of Business Administration course. I delivered teaching on stress management, communication skills, leadership, organisational culture and motivation. I have a special interest in workplace bullying and its effects on both organisations and individuals. I also run groups in the private sector for stepparents and have a special interest in this field.
I am currently publishing an online course How to be more Assertive.
