About me

A professional psychological therapy service supporting the mental health and wellbeing needs of patients aged 18 and over. I recognise the importance of addressing the overlap of physical and mental health problems.

What are you experiencing at the moment?

Low mood, depression, anxiety, stress, worry, uncertainty, fear, sleep disturbance, loss of appetite or overeating? Loss of interest in, once pleasurable, activities; difficulty concentrating, feeling down on yourself, avoidance of social contact, feeling more isolated and alone?

There may be growing bodily tension, a restlessness, slump, or a feeling of disconnection, numbness or agitation.

You may have noticed that you are not coping as well as normal with emotional, mental or physical pain and that you are engaging in increased self-harming behaviour, or have suicidal thoughts?

Does talking help?
You may be wondering whether exploring how you feel, personally, or in your relationships, matter in the big scheme of things. Whether talking about concerns and distresses really make a difference!

Psychotherapy provides a reflective, safe, non-judgemental space to explore emotional difficulties. By working at relational depth with a therapist, we can increase awareness of the self, and interpersonal dynamics. The process can foster greater choice and support us in moving forward with (and in) our lives.

Why contact me?
Whatever emotions you might be experiencing at the moment, my belief is that symptoms may be indicative of a deeper disturbance or emotional distress and that talking can help to make sense of our experiences.

I invite you to contact me if you want support in working through whatever may be contributing to your emotional pain and distress and /or if you have had previous counselling/psychotherapy and want to do further work.

Initial consultation:
A no commitment opportunity to meet me, assess your needs and motivation for therapy; also to judge if I am the right therapist to support you. Chargeable at normal rate.
