About me

About me
Are you feeling anxious, lost, low, lonely or stressed? Do you feel that nobody understands you? Not sure what or how do you change things? Do you want to take control of your life and unsure how to?

Certain life experiences can get you to a point where you want to seek further support to understand and make sense of things going on in your head. Sometimes having space and working with a professional can be very significant to help you become aware of certain patterns of behaviours or emotions.

It can be difficult to reach out for support when feeling certain emotions. I have worked with individuals who have experienced feelings of anxiety, panic, sadness, low mood, suicidal ideation, OCD and stress. These issues may be due to relationship difficulties, work/university stress, loss and bereavement, trauma from past life experiences, trauma from road traffic accidents and issues of low self esteem and confidence. I am not here to judge you or to tell you what you should do. I am here to support you through understanding your different emotions to help you live a better life managing your emotions.

Therapy can help to locate and address presenting feelings, thoughts and behaviours by providing a space outside of ordinary life, it's expectations and obligations. Being able to speak about your experiences in a confidential, respectful and safe space where you can receive appropriate support can be vital for change.

It is in this safe environment where issues can begin to be present, be understood and accepted. This will give you the confidence in building your emotional resilience and emotional well-being for your future.

I use an Integrative and holistic approach in therapy, with a humanistic foundation. Some of the therpaies I work with are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, EMDR, the inner child, etc

I work with clients from various cross-sections of the community and with a varied age group. I am culturally sensitive and understand the needs and expectations of different cultural groups. I provide a safe, confidential and empathic environment for you to discuss issues which may be affecting you.

Working with the INNER CHILD

As children we develop a blueprint of values and beliefs that we live our life by. As adults we live by these values and beliefs. We can find ourselves as adults wanting to move forward, but often sabotaged by the blueprint developed as a child. This can be changed through becoming aware of your inner child and developing healthy coping strategies to support your inner child.
