About me

I am highly specialist clinical psychologist and Individual/Marital/Family therapist and Social Anthropologist with over thirty years’ experience of providing psychological and counselling interventions, consultation and supervision in the NHS and non-statutory settings in the UK. I am a caring and professional person experienced in working successfully with individuals of all ages, couples and families on a wide range of issues both in my private consultation room in Oxford and online. I am a chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society who is registered with and works according to the ethics of the Health and Care Professions Council. UK Council for Psychotherapy and the Association of Family Therapy.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, empathic and person/couple-centred. I formulate individually tailored treatment plans, taking into account each individual's presenting difficulties, treatment choice and the evidence base for psychological therapies. I provide a safe non judgemental therapeutic space and support clients in making the changes that they wish to make. It is not easy to seek therapy and often people feel anxious and fear being judged when they meet for the first time so she is careful to put people at their ease.
I hope to help you achieve sustainable personal improvement and growth individually, rekindles connections and problem solves within couple relationships, family and/or other relationships removing blame and judgment replacing this with the power of responsibility and tools to promote change.
I endeavour to understand the perspective of couples (and other relationships) helping you relate to one another so you feel heard, validated and begin to communicate in a way that increases connection, diminishes conflict and strengthens your bonds. I help families understand most problems with their children and adolescents in the context of the family, generational patterns including culture
