About me

Dr Ayyaz Sultan is an experienced consultant cardiologist based in Greater Manchester and Liverpool.

He treats all aspects of adult heart disease, including high blood pressure, angina, palpitations, Shortness of breath, Dizzy spells or collapses, heart failure, Late CoVID
and heart murmurs.
Cardiac assessment for athletes, DVLA, Pilots and racing car drivers.
He also specialises in interventional cardiology.

Dr Sultan completed his cardiology training in Sheffield in 2013, after which he did an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He has been a consultant in the UK since 2015 and in 2016 he was appointed as an honorary senior lecturer for the University of Manchester. In this role, Dr Sultan is responsible for training junior doctors, undergraduates and cardiology registrars, and he also acts as clinical supervisor for training nurses.
Supervisor for Year 3 medical Students.

His key interests within interventional cardiology include the treatment of coronary artery disease, non-invasive cardiac CT, angioplasty and stenting. In fact, Dr Sultan has performed more than 4,000 angiographies and over 1,400 angioplasty procedures.
