About me

In practice 24 years seeing individuals (adults and young people)and have been a telephone counsellor/assessor/case manager within a telephone counselling (Employment Assistance Programme) setting for over 18 years. I am a MBACP Senior Accredited practitioner. I am a sensitive, respectful and widely experienced and professional therapist both within Private, NHS, and EAP settings. I work with high standards of integrity and adhere to a professional code of ethics and good practice. My core model of therapeutic understanding is Psychodynamic, which is informed by additional trainings Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Counselling for Depresssion (CfD) Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Brief Solution Focussed, Short term therapy theoretical approaches.I am currently training in EMDR which has always personally interested me. This enables my work with the individual to be flexible and adaptive in the desire of being most empathetic, helpful, non-judgemental and supportive to my clients.
