About me

As a highly qualified and experienced Counselling Psychologist, I work with individuals and couples from 16 years old through to the older population. Working in Snow Hill, St Paul's, London , I also offer Zoom consultations. Although I work with a wide variety of psychological distress, my special interests are trauma, binge eating and the challenges and difficulties encountered in romantic and non romantic relationships. I have worked with these and other difficulties in different modalities and techniques, both privately and within organizations.

As well as working privately, I have been employed as a teaching fellow at Surrey University and in the past was a full time member of the team on the Doctoral programmer for Psychotherapeutic and Counselling Psychology. My areas of lecturing interest were mindfulness, NICE guidelines, assessment and formulation, the development of professions and professional identities, trauma and middle age life span considerations.

When working in the NHS as an Applied Psychologist, I was also a Clinical Supervisor for The University of Surrey University which means that I supervised the clinical work of a trainee on the doctoral program. I have worked extensively in the NHS with a wide variety of difficulties and levels of distress. The latter four years were spent working in a specialized service for those encountering more enduring difficulties associated with Personality Disorders.

I aim to offer a service that will meet your individual or couple needs whether this is longer or short term therapy. I am trained to Doctoral level in a variety of therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) including mindfulness based models, Psychodynamic and Person Centred Therapy. I have combined my Doctoral level of understanding of these models with rigorous past and ongoing experience that allow me to work with clients in a way that suits your particular needs. I aim to work with my clients in a safe and supportive environment that is not based on assumptions about you or your difficulty. My work is supported by my own professional development.
