About me

Dr Sridhar is a very experienced senior Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Paediatric Rheumatology, based at the Leicester Children's Hospital, University Hospitals of NHS Trust with private practice at the Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital.

He has over 36 years of experience in Paediatrics and has been a Consultant in Paediatrics and Paediatric Rheumatology at the Leicester Children's Hospital for the last 23 yrs.

Dr Sridhar qualified in Medicine in 1989 and completed post-graduate degrees in Paediatrics and Child Health (DCH, MD and Diplomate in National Board of Paediatrics-DNB (Paeds) in India).
He has completed further Speciality training in Paediatrics in UK. He was awarded MRCP (UK) IN 1997, followed by Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) in 2004 and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh (FRCP) in 2007.
He completed Masters in clinical Sciences (M Clin Sciences) from Leicester University in 2006.
He has worked in some of the reputed Teaching Hospitals in India and UK. He was the clinical lead for the Children's assessment unit for many years.

Dr Sridhar is a Royal College Examiner for MRCPCH and START Assessor for senior Specialist Paediatric trainees since 2010. He has been Medical student's Examiner for Leicester University Medical Students since 2003. He is a Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Leicester University

Currently he is working at the Leicester Children's Hospital as a Consultant in Paediatrics, and Paediatric Rheumatology.

He was the Clinical lead for Paediatric Rheumatology services in Leicester for more than 15 yrs

Dr Sridhar can see children of all ages with any Acute and General Paediatric/Child Health Problems. He specialises in General Paediatrics and can see children of all ages with all general paediatric problems (0-16 YRS)

He also has specialist interest in Paediatric Rheumatology and can see children upto the age of 16 yrs with various Musculo-skeletal problems: Joint pains,
Arthritis, Juvenile Arthritis(JIA),
Juvenile Lupus,
Hypermobility, EDS and various other auto-immune conditions.
