About me
I am a diagnostic neurologist specialising in electro diagnostic assessment of Peripheral nerve muscles, Epilepsy and Visual electro-diagnosis .My junior medical training is in Medicine including Neurology has been in Scotland and London and specialist higher training in Yorkshire (York, Leeds and Pinderfields). I work as a full time Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist in York Hospital.
I provide comprehensive services in all areas of Clinical Neurophysiology NCS/EMG for peripheral nerve muscles assessment, EEGs for adult and paediatric epileptic disorder. I have a special interest is Visual Electro-diagnosis of eye diseases assessing function and integrity of retina and optic nerve with Visual Evoked Response (VER) and Electro-Retinogram (ERG).

Electro-diagnostic Neurology of peripheral nerve and muscle involves Nerve Conduction Study (NCS), Electromyography (EMG); My expertise is in the neuro-electrodiagnostic assessment; prognostication that is instrumental in the management of peripheral nerve and muscle pathologies; The cases range from mono-neuropathies (Median neuropathy leading Carpal Tunnel Syndrome; Focal Ulnar neuropathy commonly seen in the Cubital region; Peroneal and Sciatic nerve pathologies in the lower limbs; Tarsal Tunnel Tibial neuropathy; Meralgia Paresthetica; various radiculo-plexus conditions in the cervical or Lumbosacral region; generalised peripheral neuropathy (Hereditary and Acquired); Motor Neurone Disease; Primary muscle disorders (Myopathies/Myositis) My area of expertise is electro-diagnosis of various epileptic disorders in adults and children. My work entails diagnosis, classification and prognostication of epileptic disorders helping in the medical and surgical management.
