About me

Dr Ganesh Subramanian completed his training in general medicine, geriatrics and stroke medicine and commenced his consultant post in Central Manchester University Hospitals in 2002 and subsequently moved to Nottingham in 2010. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at University of Nottingham.

He has extensive experience in dealing with medical problems in all of the above specialties.

He is the Regional Clinical Director for Stroke in East Midlands since 2020. He had led the development of Mechanical Thrombectomy in Nottingham (neurosciences centre in East Midlands). He has deployed AI software regionally for instant access to neuroimages across the region. He provides botulinum toxin injection service (for management of spasticity) in adults.

In his role as Clinical Associate Professor, he leads the AP2 (final) year of the undergraduate medical degree at University of Nottingham.

He chairs a registration/fitness to practice panel in the General Medical Council.

He undertakes medico-legal work in stroke, geriatrics and general medicine.
