About me
I am a Chartered and HCPC Psychologist (C.psychol).as well as a credited Expert Witness in family for the Court.
I work mainly with children over 10 years, adults, individuals and couples.
My specialist field is attachment therapy overing all relationships and in particular family relationships. I have over 40 years of experience carrying out assessments in family matters including separated parents, parent-infant relationships, fostering and adoption . In the past I worked extensively as an accredited Expert Witness in family matters.I am now semi retired and no longer work for the Courts.
Prior to my psychology practice I qualified and worked extensively as both a Nursery Nurse and child protection social worker.
I have undertaken training in Major Incident Debriefing and the assessment and treatment of Type I and Type II Trauma. I have worked with individuals and organisations
My practice is based in Attachment Theory and CBT. My philosophy is that we develop strategies to cope with our environment when young and continue to use these same strategies as we mature. When things go wrong in our lives we may need to change these strategies.
I endeavour to offer a friendly and welcoming service
