About me
Qualified since 2003. Various Counselling and psychotherapy trainings at University of Surrey, Roehampton, and Minster Centre. Cognitive Behaviour therapy Training at Metanoia Institute. Registered Mental Health Nurse from 1983-2014. Postgraduate diploma in Health care ethics from London University. I have a certificate training in Meridian Family Intervention Therapy using behavioural therapeutic approaches set in an NHS psychology department.
As an integrative therapist I have worked in private practice using all of my skills and experiences, in General Practices and other organisations taking referrals and supporting their projects.
I have worked for the NHS in Health and Social Services settings as a therapist, and a mental health nurse and care coordinator using counselling skills.
I have therefore worked as a therapist using therapeutic skills in a variety of settings with individuals, groups and families.
Settings include acute admission settings, day hospitals, client's homes, rehabilitation, occupational therapy, art therapy, low and medium secure units, mother and baby care, elderly care, and medical wards.
