Professor Arjun K Ghosh MBBS MSc PhD FHEA FACC FRCP FESC FICOS

Professor Arjun K Ghosh is a Professor of Cardiology and Consultant Cardiologist at Barts Heart Centre and at University College London Hospital.

Professor Ghosh is an expert in the care of cancer patients with heart problems and helped to establish Cardio-Oncology services (cardiac care of cancer patients) at Barts Heart Centre and University College London Hospitals. These services are now one of the biggest in the UK.

He trained in all aspects of general cardiology (chest pain, angina, heart attacks, hypertension, palpitations, valve disease, exertional shortness of breath, heart failure, cholesterol management, cardiovascular risk assessment) and cardiac imaging (cardiac MRI and advanced echocardiography) across London hospitals including Hammersmith and Harefield Hospitals, The Heart Hospital and London Chest Hospital. He has European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging level 3 accreditation in cardiac MRI and British Society of Echocardiography transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography.

He has a keen interest in medical education and completed an MSc in Medical Education with Distinction from University College London and the Royal College of Physicians and is currently in charge of delivering heart failure and imaging training at Barts Heart Centre at the Royal Society of Medicine (for Imaging). He is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Professor Ghosh is actively involved in research projects in Cardio-Oncology and completed a multiple international and national award-winning PhD from Imperial College London. He has presented his work at the Houses of Parliament and at many international and national conferences and has a number of publications in high-impact medical journals.

Professor Ghosh has been awarded multiple fellowships in recognition of his global standing in the field of Cardio-Oncology.
